Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 6, 2026
ForexCommand ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website at www.forexcommand.com and the ForexCommand Windows desktop application (collectively, the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
Website — Waitlist:
When you join our waitlist, we collect:
- Your email address
- The language of your browser session (English or Spanish)
- The plan you selected (Free, Pro, or Lifetime), if any
- Your approximate IP address (used to prevent abuse, not stored long-term)
Blog — Email list:
When you ask to receive our blog posts, we collect:
- Your email address
- The frequency you chose (as posts are published, a daily digest, or a monthly digest)
- The language of your browser session (English or Spanish)
- Your approximate IP address (used to prevent abuse, not stored long-term)
We confirm your email with a double opt-in link before sending you anything.
Blog — Reading analytics:
On our blog we measure how articles are read so we can improve them. These reading metrics
are first-party only — we do not use any third-party analytics or session-recording service
for them, and they are never shared. For each article view we record, against an anonymous,
randomly generated session identifier (stored in your browser's session storage and cleared when
you close the tab — not linked to your identity or to any cookie):
- How far you scrolled through the article (depth milestones)
- How long the article was actively on screen (reading time)
- The number of clicks/taps on the page
- Your viewport width and approximate IP address (used only to filter bots and abuse; not stored against your identity)
We also load a small no-script image (a 1×1 pixel) so we can count visits from browsers that
block scripts. None of the above identifies you personally, and we do not record keystrokes,
form contents, or the text you type.
Blog — Advertising pixel:
Our blog also loads the Meta (Facebook) pixel — the same pixel used on the rest of our website
— which sends a page-view event and, when you sign up for the blog list, a subscription
event to Meta. These events carry your IP address, browser identifier (Meta's `_fbp`/`_fbc`
cookies), and a randomly generated visitor identifier; the subscription event also includes your
email address, always sent encrypted as an irreversible SHA-256 hash — never in readable form.
We use this solely to measure reach and conversions. See Sections 3 and 5 for details, including
the providers' privacy and opt-out controls.
Desktop Application:
Using the desktop application requires a ForexCommand account. When you sign in, your account credentials are sent to our API server to authenticate you and issue an access key, which is then stored locally on your device.
While you use the application, it connects to our API server to:
- Fetch market data — forex rates, economic calendar, and market readiness scores. These responses contain no personal information about you.
- Sync your trade journal — if you use the trade journal or the MetaTrader 5 integration, your trade entries are transmitted to and stored on our servers, linked to your account, so your trading history is preserved across devices and sessions.
Your application settings and preferences are stored locally in your Windows user profile.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the email address you provide on the waitlist exclusively to:
- Notify you when ForexCommand launches
- Send information about early-access pricing and availability
- Communicate important product updates before launch
We use the email address you provide on the blog list to send you blog posts at the frequency you chose. We do not use it to send you unrelated advertising, and we do not sell or rent it. When you sign up, we do send a one-time subscription conversion event to Meta (Facebook) that includes your email as an irreversible SHA-256 hash (never in readable form), solely to measure that sign-up — see Sections 3 and 5.
We will not send unsolicited marketing emails unrelated to ForexCommand. You can unsubscribe at any time using the one-click link in every email, by replying to any of our emails, or by contacting us directly.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Transactional email providers: To send you notifications, we use a third-party email service. Your email address is shared with this provider solely for the purpose of delivering those emails.
- Meta (Facebook), for advertising measurement: To measure the effectiveness of our campaigns and the reach of our content, we send events to Meta both from your browser (pixel) and from our servers (Conversions API). These are page-views and conversion events — your waitlist sign-up on the website and your newsletter sign-up on the blog. In the server-side transmission, your email (sign-ups only) is always sent encrypted as a SHA-256 hash (irreversible) — never in readable form — along with your IP address and browser identifier, solely to attribute the event. Google Ads and TikTok receive events only from the website browser, without your email. See Section 5 for details.
- Legal compliance: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your email address on the waitlist until you request removal or the ForexCommand service is fully launched and the waitlist is closed. We retain your email on the blog list until you unsubscribe (using the one-click link in any email) or request its removal.
To request deletion of your data, send an email to contact@forexcommand.com with the subject "Delete my data" from the address you wish to remove. We will process your request within 30 days.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
Our website uses session storage (a browser feature) to temporarily remember your plan selection when you click a pricing card, and on the blog to hold the anonymous session identifier used for the first-party reading analytics described in Section 1. This data is cleared automatically when you close your browser tab.
We do not use persistent tracking cookies for our own analytics. However, our website loads third-party advertising pixels to measure reach and conversion events. The main website may load the Meta, Google Ads and TikTok pixels; our blog loads the Meta (Facebook) pixel — sending a page-view event and, on newsletter sign-up, a subscription event. These providers may set cookies on your device (for example Meta's `_fbp`/`_fbc`) and have their own privacy policies, which include opt-out controls:
In addition to the browser pixels, we send these same page-view and conversion events from our servers directly to Meta (Conversions API), so that they can be attributed even if your browser blocks the pixel. For sign-up events this transmission includes a SHA-256 hashed (irreversible) version of your email, your IP address, and your browser identifier. We never send your email in readable form. You can prevent all of this by using a browser or extension that blocks these pixels, or the providers' opt-out controls linked above.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Your email address is stored in a secured database with access controls.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data (see Section 4)
- Withdraw consent to receive communications at any time
To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@forexcommand.com.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify waitlist subscribers of material changes by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
