Frequently asked questions

1

What does the CTS measure?

How attractive it is to trade the interest-rate differential on the best pair: carry differential (up to 50), alignment with the active session (up to 30), rate leadership (up to 20), and a news-risk penalty. It also names the top pair.

2

How do I read the number?

Four tiers: no carry, weak, moderate, and strong. The higher it is, the clearer the differential in favor of the top pair. Tap each component’s (i) icon to see its contribution.

3

Why does it sometimes say “Data not available”?

The CTS needs interest-rate data (FRED). If that source is unavailable we show an honest state instead of a score with a fallback value that would read as real.

4

How often does it update?

Every 60 seconds while the market is open. On weekends it freezes with a countdown to the reopen; the 7-day history stays visible.

5

Is it a trading recommendation?

No. It is an informational and educational tool about the carry-trade environment, not a signal or financial advice.
